Vibrant Adelaide

Adelaide - a vibrant city

Where people and business thrive

During the past three years there’s been a definite shift in the perception of Adelaide for the better.

Adelaide is at the cusp of a transformation. The considerable effort to achieve our vision of ‘South Australia as the place where people and business thrive’ is helping change perceptions of our city into a more positive frame.

Our goal is to compete nationally and internationally for people and investment, by creating an environment to encourage new investors, residents and visitors – bringing fresh energy and life to our city.

Adelaide already has a lot going for it – it’s the gateway to South Australia’s diverse regions, our arts, festivals, fine foods and wine.

Along with our advanced economy, world-class universities and flourishing multicultural heritage, we are in a great position, as we move into an exciting, prosperous future as the cultural, economic and social centre of the state.

We need to attract more people to live, work, invest and visit Adelaide, to make sure we thrive.

Surrounded by scenic landscapes, beaches and hills, with a reputation for its art festivals, fine foods and wine, Adelaide is considered one of the most liveable cities on the planet. It’s vital that we remind the world why, recognising that more people are choosing to live in Adelaide and entrepreneurs are more confident about starting their businesses in our city.

It’s important that we encourage younger people to stay in Adelaide by showing them that with our multicultural heritage and sound economy, we can accommodate their lifestyle and career choices. During the past three years there has been a positive shift in the perception of Adelaide and we want to build on it.

On the world stage, we are being applauded for the innovative ways we are bringing fresh energy and life to our city. Now, more than ever, Adelaide is realising an exciting future as the cultural, economic and social centre of the state.

We are creating an environment to encourage new investors, residents and visitors. The next step is to celebrate our achievements and share our successes with all South Australians, the nationand the world.
